The British Lebanese Association Scholarship Fund was established in 1985 as part of the BLA's initiative to contribute towards rebuilding national capabilities after a decade of conflict. The Fund has a central part in achieving the aims of the BLA. Since being set up the Fund has helped many young Lebanese pursue post graduate studies and training in the UK giving them an opportunity to acquire skills and experiences not available in Lebanon.
BLA scholarships are currently offered in partnership with the Said Foundation and with a financial contribution from the Arab British Chamber of Commerce Cultural Fund. At present, the BLA Fund aims to provide two or three full or partial scholarships a year to eligible graduates wishing to pursue a Masters degree or similar in the UK. The scheme is administered by the British Council in Beirut from whom further details can be obtained.
